The Airport Academy turns interest in aviation into a structured pathway into the industry, because most people, including most families, misunderstand what an aviation career is and how you get one.
Ask most people to name an aviation job and they say pilot. The UAE's aviation sector provides 990,000 jobs, and almost none of them are visible from the outside.
A national programme that opens the whole industry, chapter by chapter, to anyone aged 13 to 25 with an interest.
Every chapter is delivered with the professionals who do the work, in operational settings.
Demand came first
Mohammad Taher's aviation social media, in English and Arabic, built an audience that kept asking the same question: how do I get in?
The model was developed and proven through a UK aviation programme with the regulator's backing.
In the UAE, the curriculum was co-created with and authorised by the General Civil Aviation Authority, establishing the Academy as the national aviation programme.
