Chapter 01

Opening and the GCAA

How the UAE's aviation system is governed, and why the regulator co-created this programme.

What every chapter delivers

Real roles, real routes in

  • Roles and career options. The jobs that exist in that part of the industry.
  • Entry requirements. What to be doing now to be a candidate later.
  • Hands-on simulation. You do the job for an afternoon.
  • Career pathways. University, apprenticeship, licence or cadetship.
  • Skills and education. The subjects and aptitudes each role rewards.
  • Meeting professionals. Question the people who do the work.

Ten stamps, one year

Every student carries a physical Aviation Passport, stamped at the end of each chapter. Attendance and progress also live in the student app, so families and partners can follow the year as it happens.

The standard

Built with the regulator

  • Co-created with and authorised by the GCAA. The national regulator stands behind the curriculum.
  • A proven model. Developed through a UK aviation programme, now a UAE initiative.
  • Industry-led. Every chapter is delivered with the professionals who do the work.
  • Open to anyone aged 13 to 25. Before, during or after university.
